Guatemalan crocheted morral #3

Guatemalan crocheted morral #3

$50.00

The morral is the traditional Guatemalan utility bag for men and can seen being carried by men wearing traditional clothing. A lot of nice detail on this one, especially the two quetzals on the table with the sacred heart in the center. It is very tightly crocheted and is in very good condition with some slight soiling. The only slightly damaged area is the very top crocheted row of the morral — parts of the row are gone. The loosely woven shoulder strap is in good condition. The morral is cotton. On the first line it says “Guatemala Central America.” The next row reads “Chuaquenum,” a village, and “Juana Ramosa Jualip,“ a name. The last row says Municipality of Joyabaj, The rest of the last row I cannot translate. 14 1/4” W X 12 1/4” L.
