This exceptional weft ikat corte from Chichicastenango has a gorgeous hand-embroidered randa with beautiful flowers! It is put together from two narrower strips of fabric joined by a randa and then the ends are sewn together into a tube and decorated with another randa. It is 26 1/4” wide X 112” long. The blue is indigo-dyed. Some of the weft ikat stripes have three colors dyed into them. The piece is in outstanding condition. The last two images show both the front and back sides.
