"
I like to think of unusual ways to use usual items. Many of the objects come from
others junk. I find my supplies at thrift stores, garage sales, junk piles, and
nature walks. This proves to be environmentally conscious while maximizing the
resources at hand. In essence, I give new life to old things through the
creative
process.
.... I create sculptural assemblages from a vast assortment of found
objects and imbue each piece with its own spirit and personality. With the titles,
I provide the names of the characters, and let the viewer's
imagination provide
the stories.
....Due to the nature of the objects selected, each sculpture
is unique in character and one of a kind. Antique frreplaces, doll parts, metal
pieces, boxes and drawers combined with natural materials such as wasp nests,
branches, feathers, and bones create distinctive dream-like spaces. My inspiration
is as eclectic as the art itself."
